American Academy of Ophthalmology (AAO)
New Standards for Ophthalmic Education

Dr. Ronald Kristan recently returned from San Francisco, where he taught at the annual meeting of the American Academy of Ophthalmology (AAO), as he does every year. AAO is the world’s largest association of eye physicians and surgeons, and the 2019 meeting brought together over 20,000 ophthalmologists, health professionals and industry personnel from around the world. At this year’s session, Dr. Kristan shared his expertise about various cosmetic techniques of the face and eyes with an international group of students. (See his blog about dark undereye circles here). Dr. Kristan’s annual participation helps further the AAO’s mission to set new standards for ophthalmic education and best practices.
