Don’t Forget About Dad

All Offices to Reopen on June 1st!

The physicians and staff at all Atlantic Eye locations are excited to welcome you back for in-person appointments! Thank you all for your patience and understanding during these long and difficult several months.

Our top priority continues to be the health and safety of our patients and staff. For this first phase of our reopening, we are following the recommended COVID-19 social distancing protocols by reducing the number of appointments scheduled per day. In addition, we ask your cooperation with these precautions:

  • When you arrive for your appointment, call us from the parking lot.
  • Wait in your car until we call you to come in.
  • We ask that only the patient comes in to the office, unless the patient is a minor or requires assistance.
  • Patients MUST wear a face mask.

CooperVision is supporting essential hospital workers during COVID-19 by providing complimentary refills of their contact lenses.

Essential hospital workers are eligible to receive one complimentary box of CooperVision contact lenses for each eye. This includes all 1-day, 2 week and monthly brands that CooperVision manufactures (excluding the MiSight lens). patient must have a current CooperVision contact lens Rx to be eligible. Program expires June 5, 2020.

American Academy of Ophthalmology (AAO)
New Standards for Ophthalmic Education

Dr. Ronald Kristan recently returned from San Francisco, where he taught at the annual meeting of the American Academy of Ophthalmology (AAO), as he does every year. AAO is the world’s largest association of eye physicians and surgeons, and the 2019 meeting brought together over 20,000 ophthalmologists, health professionals and industry personnel from around the world. At this year’s session, Dr. Kristan shared his expertise about various cosmetic techniques of the face and eyes with an international group of students. (See his blog about dark undereye circles here). Dr. Kristan’s annual participation helps further the AAO’s mission to set new standards for ophthalmic education and best practices.
